My First Detective Story

Early in the morning, a call from station Inspector Srinivasan was in
a deep sleep and took the call, “Constable Naveen Sir, a Burglary in
Businessman Mr Vinod house, Sir”.

Srinivasan, okay, i will be in 10 minutes.
They reached the spot with a team.
After listening to Mr Vinod. Srinivasan ordered his team to check
for evidence in the house. In the Meantime, Srinivasan called for
Police dogs.
The police dogs after sniffing thoroughly, went to Vinod and barked.
Mr. Srinivasan now has the first clue that the owner of the house
itself stole the jewels and money. But he knows Vinod, So,he took
Vinod for interrogated and convinced that he was innocent. As
formality, enquiring happened by calling drivers, servants and
neighbors but still no clue.

Few days passed, and there was a call from Commissioner Mr Ramakrishnan
to Srinivasan to take a special interest in this..
Srinivasan was depressed about the situation of the case. Constable
Naveen insisted the team should go for another visit and may get
some clue..
Srinivasan agreed,
They entered the Vinod house again and saw the unread newspaper on the
table. And the floor was full of dirt and dust because Vinod sent his
servant and driver to leave for a week, a bundle of clothes from the
wash man on the sofas. And the whole family was depressed. Police team
took permission from Vinod telling them it’s a formal visit to find
any clue.

Srinivasan came home with a confusion whether the owner of the house
Mr. Vinod was the culprit coz the dogs identified him and further
he sent his servants including the driver for leave..

Srinivasan took his tab to listen to his favourite songs. He chooses
an English song for a change and suddenly he got a clue from the song.
He immediately called Naveen to arrest the wash man because he was the culprit.
In a few hours, the police team arrested the wash man and retrieved 85% of
stolen goods.

Commissioner Ramakrishnan called Mr Srinivasan and Naveen to report on
and congratulated them, and asked how they solved the problem.
Mr Srinivasan revealed  about the  English Song ED SHEERAN SHAPE OF
YOU and the lyric in one sentence ” And Now bed-sheets smell like you”
Srinivasan immediately recollected, when we went for second time he
saw a pack of washed and ironed clothes on the sofas, It leads to the
above song that the wash man wore the unwashed cloth of Vinod and
entered his house and robbed. That’s the reason the dogs also identifying
the Vinod..
Now, all the member of the teams was appreciated, Naveen for insisting
to go for second time and Mr Srinivasan for his brilliant mind to
relate the song to this case.
